Important SIGP Dates
Below is the timeline for the 2025-2026 academic school year:
- Applications accepted Monday, February 2, 2026 to Tuesday, March 10, 2026 (by 11:59PM CST).
- NU-Qatar student deadline is Tuesday, March 3, 2026 (by 11:59PM CST).
- Students will be notified by Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
- Awarded students are required to watch a virtual SIGP Orientation.
- Student requirements and donor thank you events occur throughout the summer and into fall quarter.
- Please note: the SIGP timeline for NU-Q students differs from the timeline on the Evanston campus.

Application Review Drop-in Hours
Students can utilize NCA Live Chat (virtual drop-in hours) to review their application materials with a member of NCA staff on the following days:
- Monday, March 9, 2026 12:00pm - 3:00pm CT
- Tuesday, March 10, 2026 12:00pm - 3:00pm CT
NCA Live Chat Instructions:
NCA Live Chat* is offered through Microsoft Teams, a platform accessible to all Â鶹´«Ã½ students, staff and faculty. Check current drop-in hours before opening Live Chat.
- When prompted, enter your Â鶹´«Ã½ email address.
- You will be redirected to Online Passport.
- Sign in with your NetID and NetID password. If you are already signed into Online Passport, you will go directly to Microsoft Teams.
