Campus Climate

Regularly assessing how various groups of students experience Â鶹´«Ã½ is key to the assessment strategy in Student Affairs. Both quantitative and qualitative methods are utilized in this effort.

Campus Climate for Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention

Â鶹´«Ã½, like many other institutions in the country, heeded the recommendation from the White House to survey its students about campus climate and sexual assault awareness and prevention. The university administered its own survey in 2015. In 2019, the university participated in the AAU Survey run by Westat and organized by Â鶹´«Ã½’s Office of Civil Rights and Title IX Compliance. Campus Climate Survey (2018)

In 2018, Student Affairs partnered with other departments to administer a climate survey studying topics on interpersonal relationships, bias, and belonging. 

Campus Climate: What Are Students Telling Us? (2013)

This report, completed in 2013, summarizes the findings related to campus climate from sixteen surveys conducted at Â鶹´«Ã½ between 2007 and 2013.

Students Perceptions of Campus Climate at Â鶹´«Ã½ (Spring 2012 Focus Groups)

This report summarizes the findings from a series of focus groups conducted by Student Affairs in Spring 2012 that explored students' perceptions of the climate for interpersonal relationships at Â鶹´«Ã½ and listened to their ideas for how it could be improved.
