Summer Housing
Thank you for your interest in summer housing at Â鶹´«Ã½. Please review the following information carefully before accessing and submitting your summer housing contract. Please note that all correspondence will be sent to your Â鶹´«Ã½ email account. The Summer Contract will be available on the Housing Portal on Monday, May 5 until Friday, May 23. All students will be notified by Friday, May 30 of their summer housing assignment. Residents must be enrolled in courses at Â鶹´«Ã½ during the summer quarter.
Accommodations
Summer housing will be available in a building with singles and doubles; however, please note that singles are first made available to students with approved accommodations for a single room. Residents will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their individual sleeping rooms. Sleeping rooms are air-conditioned and include the following furnishings: a bed frame and mattress, a set of dresser drawers, and a closet with space to hang clothing. Linens, pillows, blankets, and towels are not provided. Residents must provide their own bed linens and towels. Full laundry facilities are located within the building. Washers and dryer are available at no cost to the resident.
Dates
- Summer housing begins at 8:00am on June 22 and ends at 12pm on August 30. Residents can indicate their move-in & move-out dates based on their course schedule, on a weekly basis.
- Summer Quarter residents may arrive and check-in as early as 8:00am on June 22.
- If a Spring Quarter resident intends to stay on campus between June 14 at noon and June 22 at 8:00am please indicate this need during the contracting process. Students with approved late stays for June 14-22 and a summer contract must be present on campus to move prior to 5:00pm on Friday, June 20 or as soon as the summer assignment is ready, which will be communicated via email.
- Checkouts occur every Saturday at 12:00pm. Residents who do not check out by this deadline will be charged an extra week.
- Students who need housing between the end of the summer quarter (August 30) and the start of fall quarter contracts (September 9 for new students and September 12 for returning students) need to indicate this need during the contracting process.
Rates & Billing
- Summer housing is billed on a weekly basis (Sunday-Saturday), no exceptions.
- The weekly summer housing room rate is $350.00. Your summer bill will accurately reflect the dates of your stay and you must enter your move-in and move-out date when submitting the application.

Maintenance
University Personnel provides services for University-owned fixtures and equipment. If you require service for items such as non-working lights, clogged plumbing, heating/air conditioning, etc., please submit a Maintenance Request online through the Housing Portal. Maintenance Requests are prioritized in the order in which they are received as well as the urgency of the issue.
Parking
- All vehicles parked on-campus require a parking permit.
Residents should contact the Parking Office at 847-491-3319 for information regarding availability of parking permits in addition to rates and lots in which vehicles are permitted to park.
Cancellation
Summer housing students can request to cancel via the . Submitting a cancellation request is not an automatic release from your contract, nor does it guarantee a release. Each request is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Cancellation fee schedule is below:
